In June 2017 she conducts her third personal exhibition in Chalkida, themed “Gates of the Universe – Black Holes”

From a young age I have drawn uninterruptedly.

In 1983 I first come across oil paints. I draw unstopably, mostly replicas, trying to understand the relationship between colour, design and proportion on my own.

In 1998 I decide to start attending Chalkida’s Art Studio classes of Chariclea Mytara, to understand the correct way of creating.

Firstly, I attend classes of artist Aggelos Antonopoulos, on design and acrylic paints for two years, and then I continue with classes from artist Giannis Ziogas, also in design and acrylics, studying colour, until 2013, since when – and with the help of my teacher – I have been following my true passion, oil painting.

My only occupation now is painting!

On my first painting exhibition – When poetry met painting – I tried to visualize the emotions generated by specific poems, as a 4th dimention through my paintings.

On the artwork I have created for my second exhibition, I tried to visualize the fear, awe and despair generated by the observation of nature, but also “missing the train”.

On my third exhibit, my artwork will present the greatness of the universe, through its “Gates”, Black Holes.

Using a different touch and not concentrating on the design itself, but instead on how light reacts with it, I try to imprint the deeper meaning of every image and the emotions generated by observing it.
